Reverend Howard O. Rose

Reverend Howard Onzell Rose, a native of Memphis, Tennessee, and the eldest of two sons.  He is a third generation preacher from a family with a zeal for teaching the word of God.

Aside from his responsibility as a minister of the gospel, Reverend Rose is a husband, father and proud grandfather.

Reverend Rose received his primary education in the Miami-Dade County Public School System.  After completing his formal education, Reverend Rose received his Ecclesiastical training and completed several courses of study at Moody Bible Institute and Inter-Denominational Theological Seminary.

In 1991, Reverend Rose embraced his calling to preach the gospel, a living word to a dyeing world. At the time, he was a member of 2nd Corinth Missionary Baptist Church, under the leadership of Reverend Moses Blackman.  In 2001 Reverend Rose was ordained, and soon ventured on an assignment to assist at New St. James Missionary Baptist Church, where he labored under the tutelage and watchful eye and care of the late Reverend Jesse Ferguson.

Upon the completion of his assignment at New St. James, in March 2002, Reverend Rose was called to pastor Greater Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church, affectionately known as “The City of Glory”.  He is currently the Shepherd of that flock, teaching, leading and doing everything for the glory of God.

Pastor Rose has had the distinguished duties of standing behind the Sacred Desk at churches throughout this community, the State of Florida, and the country abroad.            Whenever he is afforded an opportunity to do so, he discharges his duties, and humbly assumes the tasks of his Heavenly Father.
